I.D. Systems to show new VAC4 with cellular capability at LogiMAT
I.D. Systems, a leading provider of wireless fork-truck management systems, will exhibit the next generation of its Vehicle Asset Communicator® – the VAC4 – at LogiMAT. This new, versatile, easy-to-implement product offers a cellular communication option to make fleet management even more straightforward, removing the need for IT involvement and costly infrastructure hardware. The VAC4 also comes in a Wi-Fi version, which can be either locally or remotely hosted.
In addition to providing the tried and trusted benefits of I.D. Systems’ patented wireless technology—greater fleet utilisation, increased operator productivity, lower operating costs, and improved workplace safety practices—the VAC4 significantly reduces system deployment costs. The device can be easily installed in as little as one hour per vehicle, and has a host of new features that enhance functionality and improve the operator experience.
“As data is wirelessly communicated over a public network, there is no need to have a wireless infrastructure in your plant or warehouse,” said Alexander Glasmacher, I.D. Systems’ Managing Director EMEA. “Wherever you have a mobile phone connection, the VAC4 will communicate with our remotely hosted application.”
Other advantages of the new cellular system include the ability to track trucks that are in transit or being serviced at your service partner’s facility, through embedded GPS location tracking.
Mr. Glasmacher added, “We are continually striving to develop the most convenient solutions for our customers. Alongside our Wi-Fi and 868 MHz capabilities, the new cellular option for our VAC4 product represents a further step forward in meeting our customer requirements, service levels and technical support.”
We look forward to meeting you at our stand at LogiMAT, Stuttgart, Hall 6, Stand C50
